You are invited to a practical ‘how-to’ session for councils on using the Circular Soft Plastics Directory to find, compare and buy Australian-recycled soft-plastic products with confidence. Intended for all council staff, particularly procurement, sustainability, waste, and assets and civil works.
A free, public directory that brings Australian-recycled soft-plastic products together in one place — currently 84 products from 10 suppliers across 16 council-spend categories, from building materials and bollards to kitchen caddies, decking, wheel stops and asphalt binder. It’s the practical link between these products, the tools councils need to explore procuring them, and demand aggregation that helps close the loop on soft plastics.
browse verified products and suppliers by category, with supporting data
a whole-of-life business-case calculator (equivalent annual cost) that compares products made from recycled and virgin materials across product life
recycled-content and certification for each product
signal and pool demand with other councils to increase likelihood of volume pricing, with a portable quote and validity period to take into your own procurement
modelled greenhouse gas benefit and impact figures to support the business case
No preparation needed, but you are highly encouraged to register to use the full Directory (free, no obligation) and explore before the session.
